0009: IN PURSUIT OF ADVENTURE

In Pursuit of Adventure

156 words, <1 minute

The short essay that typically starts the newsletter wasn’t ready for the world. The idea was ready, but the execution wasn’t. Sometimes, that’s how things go. More often than not, more work is needed.

The pursuit of a dream is where character and identity are found.

On adventures, the pursuit, the striving, feel valuable because simply being there is a success. We accept the challenge of adventure as the work that makes us stronger and our experiences richer.

But, working towards any dream is a challenge. A dream is an idea, and turning ideas into action is making the imaginary real. That makes it sounds downright impossible, yet we do it every day.

Whether it is another step on a journey or a sentence on a page, usually more work is needed, and the adventure continues.
